Am I a bad example for my children? I allowed Markus and Mika to miss school to attend the Texas State Fair. I took the day off. It was great! Ali had fun watching all the people and rides. We had fried oreos, fried snickers, Owens sausage biscuits, and Belgian waffles with strawberries. The oreos were my favorite.
It was a long day. It took us 1 1/2 hours to get home; we took the scenic route. I walked away with a smoked turkey leg souvenir for Chris.
